Why I love Broken Glass
Broken glass is dangerous, it is exciting, it needs saving, it has nothing to hide, it is transparent, it is honest, it is difficult, it is challenging, it is infuriating, it is chaotic, it is sharp, it is broken.
It is recyclable, it can be rearranged and reframed, it can be lit it up, it can transform, it breaks and it mends, it is hope, it is change.
Sculptural Paintings
This is a time in my life when I felt lost and yearned deeply for a change within myself. The works are essentially cathartic expression but on a deeper level they depict recognizable symbolism about destruction, segregation, chaos, reorganization, transformation and finally the eventual rebirth. The choice of medium is recycled shattered glass integrated with representational paintings on hand made paper mounted of wood.
